Yoga Practices for Inner Balance

Updated: Oct 21

In today's fast-paced world, finding inner balance can feel like an impossible task. Stress, anxiety, and the constant demands of daily life can leave us feeling overwhelmed.

Yoga is more than just a physical practice; it is a holistic approach to well-being that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. In this blog post, I will share a bit on my journey and the benefits of yoga for all.

When i started what was called Bikram yoga 15 years ago living in Brussels, I instantly fell in love with the series, the focus, the non attachment and the feeling of being reborn afterwards. I became acutely aware of that i needed to train much more to become as good or even close to the others in the room, I turned it into my normal competitive practise and exercise.

Then after three children, a lot of yoga training and moving home to Sweden after several years abroad I hit the wall. I was stressed out, had no more energy and the medical system in Sweden didn't have space to take care of me and my feelings of inadequacy, stress and constantly trying to survive the day. I then started my yoga teacher training, thinking i wanted to immerse my self into weekends on my own with no disturbances, more training a to learn a bit more about yoga. But what i found was the beginning of my healing. The healing of my nervous system, the healing of my inner child, the healing of my self esteem and healing of my tired body. I slowly started to lean into finding my true self without judgement.

That practice is now my resilience: a grounded inner compass, tools to meet stress with presence, and the humility to move at a human pace. Ten years on, I’m committed to holding spaces where others can experience the same—a place to breathe, to remember who they are, and to grow strength from the inside out.

Understanding Yoga and Its Benefits

Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to promote overall health and well-being.
